GLASS VASE: Please keep the glass vase away from children and in a flat, safe place. Improper placement and handling may damage the glassware and be hazardous.

AQUATIC LIVES: Every different aquatic live has its own life-span. We can’t guarantee that all aquatic lives will be alive forever but following the tips listed below will prolong the life. Please do not add extra aquatic lives into the vase in order to keep the balance except when matching the original amount.

FEEDING: Please feed “tropical freshwater micro pellet” about the amount of a rice twice a week. Overfeeding might affect clearness of the water and change the quality of water.

LIGHTING: Please keep the vase under the lighting system for 8 hrs a day.

TEMPERATURE: Maintaining vase/container at 75°F (24°C).

TRIMMING: Keeping your Aqua Bonsai looking great requires just a little bit of attention. If the aquatic plants grow too fast or are above the water, it’s about time to do trimming. You can do this by yourself. Leave about 1” from the root of aquatic plant and trim with scissors (Special scissors for aquatic plant trimming will make things easier). You can re-plant the plant to the soil right next to the plant you just trimmed.

Please do not flush the trimmed aquatic plants in the toilet. Doing so may cause of the blockage of the sewer pipe.

The Ecosystem

An ecosystem is a community of living organisms (plants, animals and microbes) in conjunction with the nonliving components of their environment (things like air, water and mineral soil), interacting as a system.

In Aqua Bonsai, the main keys in maintaining the ecosystem are proper natural lighting, stable room temperature, circulating fresh water and trimming aquatic plants when necessary. The ecosystem will keep a natural balance of the needs of everything in the vase.

For larger size vase or tank, aquatic lighting fixtures are needed to simulate natural light for better irradiating. Pumps help energy flow efficiently and supplement proper amount carbon dioxide for photosynthesis.
